Charitable Work
Khan frequently donated artwork to a number of charities as well as created and supported local community art programing; most notably:
”The Urban Art Workshop” where he developed an after school art program for inner city youth at the Queens Public Library in Jamaica, NY.
“The Second Chance Program” at Queens Public Libraries, where he lead art classes to help focus teen anger into art. A project founded by District Attorney Gail Giordano
Great Neck North High School, where he educated students through art as well as providing art career advice. He also provided a wall mural tutorial. Great Neck, NY
Flushing QCP, where he provided abstract and color art lessons to lower functioning disabled children and taught cartoon sketching to higher functioning children. Flushing, NY
Public School 69 in Jackson Heights, NY where he donated hisd time to teach art in a school with no art program due to budget cuts. He taught illustration, painting, and sculpture to kids 5 to 7 in age.
H&L Rehabilitation Clinic in Kew Gardens, NY where he utilized art therapy as a way to help guide youths with drug addiction.
